Proton/Partha is an artist whose work makes you look and live the moment. Over the past five years, he has captured countless moments of our college lives together and looking at them, I realize how much I have lived every bit of it. His magic lies in how he captures people in their true moments, seeing which you could feel like you too were a part of their shared laughter, or as if you almost know the person from their face in the picture.

Working with Proton dada was honestly such a surreal experience.
We did both an abstract and a traditional shoot — two totally different shoots — and he nailed both with so much ease.
The vision, the attention to detail, the way he frames even the smallest moment, it’s pure instinct. You don’t even realize when the camera clicks, but then you see the final photos and you’re like… wait, that’s me? That’s the kind of magic he brings.
But more than just being insanely talented, he's also such a great human. Really grounded, respectful, and just so pleasant to work with. No pressure, no awkward pauses, that leaves you totally comfortable.

Proton's photography is all about capturing the in between the lines of life. Moments between flights of birds, smiles between poses. Coupled with his great eye for edits and colours, he is able to truly capture the essence of moments. His pictures come alive to reflect the countless beautiful moments that have passed, ones that would usually go unnoticed or just remain in memory. His wide range also brings forth his vision and ability to find beauty in the most mundane and bring out the simple beauty of ornate moments.

I have always been terrified of the camera, lest it captures what I spend decades hiding, and what I see, doesn't meet the standard, doesn't meet the norm, and I must go on erasing till atleast a little part of the photo does match the rules. But when proton da took my picture for the first time, during rehearsal, the result, refused to erase, looked directly in the eye of all self-censoring beauty standards, and said everything and everyone, if captured well, and with care, can become art, can become a picture that bursts with life and affection, strength and gorgeous gorgeous beauty.
After that I have always adored being clicked by proton da, he makes the defeated walk, head held up so high.

Working with Partha is always quirky and creative. I love how he uses minimal features to bring out some amazing clicks. His creative approach brings out the individuality of his subjects, making the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable. The result is a collection of photographs that are as unique as they are captivating.
